IMPACT: Involving Minds Peaceful Actions to bring Communities Together,  a student driven organization, is affiliated with the National Gay/Straight Alliance.

Mission Statement:

The primary mission of IMPACT is to promote non-discrimination in all areas: sexual orientation, ethnicity, intellectual or religious. IMPACT aligns itself with philosophy the Gay-Straight Alliance Network, a youth-led organization that connects school-based Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) to each other and community resources. Through peer support, leadership development, and training, GSA Network supports young people in starting, strengthening, and sustaining GSAs and builds the capacity of GSAs to 1) create safe environments in schools for students to support each other and learn about homophobia and other oppressions; 2) educate the school community about homophobia, gender identity, and sexual orientation issues, and 3) fight discrimination, harassment, and violence in schools. 

Meeting Times:

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, during Activity Period, Room C-205.
