Welcome Back Huskies!
WOW, time for another great year, which we hope will be our best yet! Although we try to have fun in the community, students will strive to uphold the traditions of scholarhip, character, service and leadership established by NHS members in the past. We try to hold current fundraising and communitty service opportunities for our members as well as the communitty. So strive for your best and have some fun with NHS!
The Hamilton High School National Honor Society strives to recognize and encourage academic achievement while also developing other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy.

The first general meeting will be on August 24, 2006 during conference hour, of course. But, but, but, but....NO pass is needed to get into the auditorium, where all of our general meetings are held, because the NHS team will send out an announcement allowing everyone who needs to leave access to the auditorium!
Committees will be chosen during the first general meeting, in which a member of NHS gets to pick out the four committees which one they wish to be in during the year. The committees are: fundraising, tutoring, community service, and attendance. It must be noted that there will be separate commitee meetings held in a designated classroom for each assigned commitee.
Friday's Jamba Juice Fundraising...we'll see what happens! Coming up in November is a school supply drive, where used and new school items will be donated through NHS to needy students.
Students are invited to join the National Honor Society the second half of thier sophmore, junior or senior year. Students are invited to join if they have a cummulative GPA of 3.80 and have attended Hamilton High School for a minimum of 1 semester. Students that transfer from other schools whom are already members of NHS must show a sponsor an original membership or certificate.
Students can be removed from NHS for the following: - Failure to maintain a 3.80 GPA. Students will be granted one semester of probation is GPA falls below 3.80.
- Failure to attend 5 general meetings and 5 commitee meetings within the school year.
- Failure to turn in 20 community service hours.
