NEW to AFJROTC this year!!  The corps will be able to run PAINTBALL activities.  Test out your skills - enjoy the fun - learn to lead.  Sign up for AFJROTC with your counselor!!

Attention Registering Students:  AFJROTC = PE CREDIT!!!  That’s right.  Regular AFJROTC classes, to include Police Science, earn 1/3 PE credit per semester!  And Competitive Drill (Zero hour) still earns 1/2 credit per semester.  Opportunity knocks to explore other options!!

Upcoming Freshmen (Current 8th Graders) -  This year you can take either AS 100 Journey Into Aviation or Police Science.  AS100 is changing to include parts of Science of Flight and Space Exploration.  Learn about the military.  Get excited about your future.  Get integrated into Hamilton and join the fun!!!

Upcoming Sophomores - Need a one-semester class to match with your required one-semester health class?  Our Security Forces (Police Science) class is for you.  Enroll in the fall and you will still be able to participate in all non-uniform AFJROTC activities throughout the school year!  PLUS, a new course is open to you:  In addition to Space Exploration as an option, Global and Cultural Studies is up and running at Hamilton.  Study the regions of the world making the news.  Learn their cultures and how the United States is affected!  First up:  The Middle East.  Go beyond the headlines!!

Upcoming Juniors/Seniors -  Yes, you can enroll in Space Exploration, Police Science or Global and Cultural Studies (or AS 400 for seniors only).  But are you looking for a challenge?  AFJROTC seem too simple for your upper level academic skills?  Have you ever thought about flying, but noticed the high cost?  Need 5 hours of college credit?  Then Aviation Ground School is for you.  This one-year, dual-credit option course is a certified FAA ground school.  And you still have all the benefits of being in AFJROTC!!

All - Didn't join AFJROTC as a freshmen?  No problem.  You may join at any semester in any class that your grade is allowed to join!  AND pass any course with an A or B, and you could be eligible for college credit with the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Mission: The mission of Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps is to “Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.”

The objectives of JROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.  It is NOT a recruiting organization.  Cadets are not in the military, and are not committed to the military.

The AFJROTC program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, global and regional studies, the development of flight, applied flight sciences, military aerospace policies, space exploration and security forces (police science) studies.

In addition to class, cadets run their own organization, which performs community service (blood drives and Adopt-a-Highway), competes against other JROTC units in model rocketry and atheletic events, and plans and runs other corps formal and informal social events.  This year they hosted the first "Desert Talon" drill meet.  The corps also has an excellent competitive drill team, and competes across the state in unarmed, armed and color guard events.  They cap off the competition season at a regional drill meet in Southern California.
