I am one of the Illinois transplants who teach at Hamilton. I grew up 50 miles west of Chicago. I graduated from Sycamore High School and Northern Illinois University, twice, once with a bachelors degree and the other time with a masters degree. I taught in that state for 9 years before moving to Arizona. My first teaching position in AZ was at the old Chandler Jr. High School. That staff of teachers opened Andersen Jr. High and I remained there until HHS opened its doors. I am in my 34th year of teaching, the 25th year in the Chandler district. While mathematics education takes most of my time, coaching football and basketball keeps me active. Athletics have always been part of my routine.
